Cardi B Highlights the Importance of Formula Feeding Ahead of Baby No. 4
As she prepares to welcome her fourth child, Cardi B is opening up about the advantages of using baby formula.
The 33-year-old Grammy-winning artist has teamed up with Bobbie, an organic infant formula brand, as its new Chief Confidence Officer. In this role, she aims to promote confidence in parents’ feeding choices, increase awareness about the safety and quality of infant formula, and advocate for parental rights in the U.S. as part of the company’s “The B is for Bobbie” campaign.
During a livestream on X Spaces on Thursday, October 16, Cardi shared her thoughts on why formula feeding can be essential for many mothers. “Breastfeeding takes a lot of time, and some women have to go back to work immediately to support their families,” she explained, according to a representative from Bobbie.
She continued by emphasizing how demanding breastfeeding can be: “Pumping can take up nearly your whole day. It’s not easy, and some moms simply don’t have that luxury — they need to rely on formula.”
Cardi B, who announced her fourth pregnancy on September 17, is expecting her first baby with NFL player Stefon Diggs. The Am I the Drama? rapper already shares three children — Kulture Kiari Cephus (7), Wave Set Cephus (4), and Blossom — with her estranged husband, Offset.
Speaking about her new partnership, the rapper praised Bobbie for its ongoing advocacy work, saying the company is “constantly in discussions with the White House” and “fighting for improved care for Black and Brown women.”
Bobbie Marks Cardi B’s First Baby Brand Collaboration
For the first time, Cardi B has teamed up with a baby brand, partnering with Bobbie. In an interview with Vogue published on Wednesday, October 15, the rapper opened up about her past struggles with breastfeeding, revealing that it once took her two hours to pump only two ounces of milk.
“It made me question myself — like, does producing less milk make me less of a woman than someone who produces more?” she shared with the magazine, adding that many people don’t realize how discouraging that experience can be.
Cardi emphasized that mothers should focus on their child’s nutrition rather than the feeding method, stressing that what truly matters is that babies are properly nourished.
“You’re not a bad mom for using formula,” she said. “What’s bad is not feeding your child.”
