Miley Cyrus fans hoping for a tour might be disappointed — the singer recently shared that she’s not planning to hit the road anytime soon.

During a July 15 interview on Good Morning America, Cyrus opened up about why she doesn’t feel compelled to tour in support of her latest album, Something Beautiful.

“I’m physically capable and have the chance to tour, but the truth is, I just don’t want to,” said the 32-year-old artist.

Cyrus expressed concerns about the touring environment, explaining that she feels the music industry lacks a solid system to truly support artists.

Referencing the late icon Prince, she noted how the pressures of touring can take a toll. “It’s incredibly difficult to stay sober on the road, and sobriety has become a core part of my stability,” she explained.

She also emphasized how touring can negatively affect her mental health. “You get this overwhelming rush from thousands of fans cheering you on, and afterward you crash,” she said. “It messes with your sense of self-worth — like one person’s love isn’t enough anymore; you start chasing the feeling of being adored by tens of thousands.”

Miley Cyrus hasn’t gone on a major tour since her Bangerz Tour back in 2014. Despite stepping away from the touring circuit, she still has major milestones ahead — one being her recent inclusion in the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026.

Expressing her excitement on Instagram, Cyrus reflected on her early days in Los Angeles. “I’m incredibly honored to be receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” she wrote. “When I was a little girl visiting from Nashville, my family used to stay in a hotel on Hollywood Boulevard. My dad and I would take late-night walks when he could still go unnoticed.”

She shared that during those quiet strolls, they’d browse empty souvenir shops, picking up faux Oscars and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia. “Now, to be permanently part of this iconic street, surrounded by the legends who inspired me, truly feels like a dream,” she added.

Cyrus wrapped up her message with gratitude: “This moment is timeless. Thank you to everyone who helped make it possible. I’m proud to share this honor with you.”

On May 30, she released her ninth studio album, Something Beautiful, which was followed by a visual film that premiered at the Tribeca Festival on June 6.

During a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live in May, Cyrus explained that the film doesn’t follow a traditional narrative. “The music itself tells the story,” she said. “Even though it’s psychedelic and a bit over-the-top — which is typical of my style — at its core, it’s about the songs and the emotions behind them. I didn’t feel the need to play a role because I am the character. I never want to pretend to be someone I’m not.”
