The pop icon is gearing up to drop her upcoming album Something Beautiful on May 30.

Miley Cyrus embraces resilience in her latest release.
On Thursday, April 3, the global pop star unveiled her new single, “End of the World,” a preview of her upcoming visual album Something Beautiful.
Co-written and co-produced by Alvvays’ Molly Rankin and others, the track carries a nostalgic vibe, with Cyrus delivering a sultry performance that channels the essence of ABBA.
“Let’s pretend it’s not the end of the world / (Oh, oh, oh, oh) The sky is fallin’, fallin’ like a comet now, oh, oh / Let’s pretend it’s not the end of the world,” she croons with a smooth, dreamy tone.
To mark the release, the “Flowers” singer posted a snippet of the music video on Instagram.
“‘End of the World’ debuts with a bold yet minimal visual that captures the distinct style of the project,” the caption read. “The video features Miley commanding the stage, microphone in hand, echoing the vibe of her 2024 GRAMMYs performance.”
The post continued, “Miley wears a one-of-a-kind custom Mugler design by Casey Cadwallader. Every release is part of a cohesive creative vision, merging music, film, and fashion into one immersive cinematic journey. ‘End of the World’ is out now.”
Along with the release of her new single, Miley Cyrus dropped the accompanying music video, showcasing her dancing in a shimmering green sequin Mugler dress and moving expressively on the floor with a microphone as mist swirls around her.
Cyrus initially introduced “End of the World” during a private performance at the Chateau Marmont, where she previewed unreleased material in an intimate setting.
Earlier, on Monday, March 31, the Grammy-winning artist gave fans the first glimpse of her upcoming album with the haunting track “Prelude.”
In the video for “Prelude”—which also appears on the album’s cover art—Cyrus wears a rare piece from Thierry Mugler’s 1997 couture archive. The music video was co-directed by Cyrus, Jacob Bixenman, and Brendan Walter, with cinematography by Benoît Debie.
Her upcoming album, described as “bold,” will include 13 original tracks. Cyrus also took on the role of executive producer alongside Shawn Everett.
