The Grammy-winning artist revealed in May that she had regained ownership of her music catalog, nearly six years after it was originally sold.

Taylor Swift has just wrapped up a major chapter in her professional journey — and having Travis Kelce there with her added to the significance of the moment.
“Reclaiming ownership of her masters has been both moving and empowering for her. She feels proud and at peace, like she’s finally closed that chapter in the most fulfilling way possible. Having Travis there made the experience even more memorable,” an insider exclusively shared with PEOPLE.
Following a long and public dispute over the rights to her music, the 35-year-old Grammy winner revealed on Instagram on May 30 that she has regained control of her early music catalog, which includes her first six albums.
Taylor Swift’s recent journey has been deeply personal and transformative — and thankfully, she didn’t walk it alone. Travis Kelce felt “privileged to be there for her,” and according to a source, “he wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
The insider adds that the couple is “truly happy and deeply connected. There’s a peaceful, effortless rhythm to their relationship right now that has been grounding for both Taylor and Travis.”
With her history-making Eras Tour now behind her, Swift has taken some well-earned time off — much of it spent with Kelce. The pair has embraced a more relaxed summer, relishing the chance to slow down and enjoy time away from the spotlight.
While in Manhattan, they’ve been seen around the West Village, often choosing understated date nights and intimate dinners with friends. In Nashville, the couple has kept a low profile while spending time with Swift’s family and close friends.
“They’re really enjoying this quieter chapter together,” the source shares. “They’ve been dividing their time between New York, Nashville, and a few peaceful getaways — just soaking up each other’s presence without the usual whirlwind.”
This break from their typically demanding routines has given them a chance to reconnect in meaningful ways, further strengthening their relationship.
“This kind of downtime doesn’t come around often for either of them, and it’s made their bond even stronger,” says the insider. “It’s been a pivotal period for their relationship.”
As previously reported by PEOPLE, for the first time since the couple began dating in summer 2023, Swift is heading into football season without the pressures of a global tour.
“Taylor is genuinely excited about the upcoming NFL season,” the source notes. “Not just because she loves cheering for Travis, but because, for the first time since they’ve been together, she won’t be balancing tour obligations at the same time.”
