The pop sensation unveiled her most recent song—scheduled to be featured on her forthcoming seventh album—this past Friday.

Ariana Grande is moving forward with her latest venture! On Friday, the 30-year-old Grammy winner released her newest single, “Affirmative, Additionally?”

Set to an upbeat house rhythm reminiscent of Madonna’s “Vogue,” Grande dismisses her critics and ignores their remarks and rumors.

“I’ve reached the point of no longer caring / About your opinions, I won’t conceal / Beneath the assumptions you impose / Or alter my truest existence,” she croons, later adding, “Refrain from commenting on my physique, refrain from responding / Your affairs are yours, and mine are mine / Why are you so concerned about whose [expletive] I choose / Why?”

Since ascending to the status of a global pop superstar, Grande has found herself under the scrutiny of tabloids. In a spirited and euphoric defiance, her latest dance track, “Affirmative, Additionally?” serves as her retort to the incessant gossip surrounding her, including discussions about her appearance, divorce, new relationships, and more.

“Yes, And?” exudes the empowered essence reminiscent of 2018’s “Sweetener” and the bold attitude akin to 2019’s “thank u, next.” This track marks Ariana Grande’s initial release from her upcoming seventh studio album, representing her first album since 2020’s “Positions.” Collaborating with her long-time partners Max Martin and Ilya Salmanzadeh, who have been instrumental in producing some of her most significant hits, the “Rain on Me” singer recorded the song in New York City.

Grande initiated the anticipation for her new music back in December, offering glimpses into her time in the recording studio through Instagram photos. The official announcement of “Yes, And?” came on Monday, eliciting excitement from both her fans and high-profile peers like label-mate Nicki Minaj, who expressed, “We are ready.”

The singer-actress, also slated to portray Glinda in the forthcoming film adaptation of Wicked, is scheduled to release the music video for “Yes, And?” on Friday morning at 10 a.m. ET.
