Sharing a clip of her 2024 Met Gala performance, Grande responded to the rumors, writing, “It’s quite funny that some of you think I’d give up music just because I’m juggling multiple projects…!!!”

Despite taking on a new acting project, Ariana Grande reassured fans this week that she has no intention of walking away from music. On Wednesday, July 16, the 32-year-old artist addressed rumors on Instagram, posting a video from her performance at the 2024 Met Gala along with a heartfelt message.
“It’s funny how quickly people assume I’m leaving music just because I’m busy with other things,” she wrote. “Music has always been — and still is — essential to who I am. I’m just learning to make space for everything I love.”
Grande, who dropped her latest album Eternal Sunshine in 2024, went on to say that while her music career may evolve, it’s not going anywhere. “It might not look exactly the same as it did before, but I love the vision I have for it now. I’m enjoying the process — feeling inspired, thankful, and excited.”
She also shared that she’s in the process of balancing several creative ventures in a way that feels authentic to her. “I’m finding my rhythm — blending all the projects I’m passionate about, and doing it on my own terms.”
To the delight of fans, Grande hinted at live shows in the near future: “I’m working on something so I can perform for you next year — even if it’s just a short run. Love you all.”
Just a day prior to addressing the rumors, news broke that Grande had joined the cast of Jon M. Chu’s upcoming animated adaptation of Oh, the Places You’ll Go! — based on the beloved Dr. Seuss book. The film marks another collaboration between Grande and the Wicked director.
“I adore this book, the script, the magical world of Dr. Seuss, and this incredible creative team,” she shared via Instagram Stories, as reported by Entertainment Weekly. “I’m beyond excited to be a part of this project.”
She also posted a behind-the-scenes photo with co-star Josh Gad, both holding recording binders labeled with their names and featuring artwork from the film adaptation.
