Grande said the foundation will back a number of remarkable organizations that offer the support, care, and safe environments many people urgently need today.
A new charitable initiative founded by Ariana Grande aims to provide assistance to communities facing significant challenges.
On June 12, the singer and actress introduced the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting smaller nonprofits that offer protection, resources, and essential services to vulnerable individuals and groups.
“I’m incredibly excited to finally share the Brighter Days Ahead Foundation with the world,” Grande, 32, said in a statement. She explained that the organization’s goal is to help safeguard those in need while ensuring they have access to meaningful support and resources.
The foundation operates through four separate funding programs. The Protect & Defend Fund supports organizations focused on LGBTQ+ rights as well as civil and reproductive freedoms. The Heal & Dream Fund is designed to expand access to mental health services and strengthen community-based support systems. Through the Seen & Celebrated Fund, the foundation seeks to elevate LGBTQ+ voices and storytelling. Meanwhile, the Emergency Support Fund provides rapid assistance during crises, offering aid and resources when communities face urgent challenges.
Grande noted that these four funds will help numerous organizations that create safe environments and deliver critical care to people who need it most. She added that while she has personally contributed to many of these causes in the past, the foundation will allow her to broaden that support and further strengthen the impact of organizations performing vital work.
Among the beneficiaries of the Protect & Defend Fund are the Defending Our Neighbors Fund, Elevated Access, G.L.I.T.S., Lambda Legal, the Transgender Law Center, and the Trans Youth Emergency Project. The Heal & Dream Fund will provide support to Trans Lifeline, Backline, the National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network, and Jack.org.
The Seen & Celebrated Fund includes recipients such as the Gender Liberation Movement, Glisten Rainbow Library, SAGE USA, TransLash, and Transanta. Organizations receiving assistance through the Emergency Support Fund include Humanity Crew, New York Cares, the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, Save the Children UK, This Is About Humanity, and Troop 6000.
The foundation’s launch followed Grande’s criticism of the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement efforts. On June 9, the White House posted a TikTok video showing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents carrying out arrests while using Grande’s song “Bye” in the background. The video’s caption praised President Donald Trump’s border policies.
Grande later responded in the comments, objecting to the use of her music in connection with the video. Her reaction came as the foundation announced support for the Defending Our Neighbors Fund, an organization that assists immigrant families affected by immigration enforcement actions.
