Beyoncé and her daughter, Blue Ivy, shared the stage with a line-dance routine as they premiered songs from ‘Cowboy Carter’ live during the performance.

On Wednesday, Dec. 25, the global icon delivered a dazzling performance during the Ravens-Texans game in her hometown of Houston, Texas, dubbed the “Beyoncé Bowl.” She made a grand entrance on horseback, dressed in a white-feathered gown paired with a western hat, kicking off the show with “16 Carriages.”
Dismounting the horse, Beyoncé strolled through the stadium’s backstage area, sporting a red, white, and blue “Cowboy Carter” sash while performing her rendition of “Blackbird.” Moments later, she emerged on the field in a sparkling bodysuit with matching chaps, captivating the crowd with “Ya Ya.”
Lights spelling out “My House” illuminated the stands, sending the crowd into a frenzy as Beyoncé transitioned into “Riverdance.” Striding across the field lined with a marching band, she met Shaboozey, who joined her for their collaboration, “Sweet Honey Buckiin.”
The star-studded performance continued with Post Malone delivering a rendition of “Levii’s Jeans,” setting the stage for Beyoncé to hop onto the back of a vintage truck and perform “Jolene.”
Beyoncé wrapped up the show with her hit “Texas Hold ‘Em,” bringing a heartfelt moment when her 12-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, joined her. In a subtle lyric change, she sang, “Then spin me in the middle, Blue, I can’t read your mind.” The duo executed an intricate line dance before Beyoncé ascended on a platform bearing a banner that read “BANG.”
The performance was featured as part of Netflix’s inaugural NFL Christmas Gameday. Under the streaming giant’s agreement with the NFL, viewers can watch the Ravens-Texans game and the Chiefs-Steelers game up to three hours after the live broadcast concludes. As a result, the Ravens-Texans game will remain available until approximately 11 p.m. ET.
The Christmas performance showcased the live debut of tracks from Beyoncé’s latest studio album, Cowboy Carter, which includes collaborations with Miley Cyrus, Dolly Parton, Willie Nelson, and more.
In November, Beyoncé announced her football game appearance through a captivating Instagram video.
Set to an a cappella version of Cowboy Carter’s opening track, “AMERIICAN REQUIEM,” the clip featured Beyoncé standing at a microphone atop a vintage car adorned with red roses. A spotlight illuminated her as she posed in patriotic attire with a white cowboy hat. The scene transitioned to a close-up shot after a football was thrown to her, followed by a title card revealing details about the anticipated performance.
This isn’t Beyoncé’s first performance at an NFL event. In 2013, she headlined the Super Bowl Halftime Show, where Destiny’s Child reunited for a memorable onstage moment.
In 2016, she surprised fans by joining Coldplay’s Halftime Show performance, delivering a powerful rendition of “Formation.”
Earlier this month, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) revealed that Beyoncé now holds the record for the most certified titles among female artists, boasting 103 RIAA certifications.
Her latest album, Cowboy Carter, has achieved Platinum status, with the hit single “Texas Hold ‘Em” reaching 2x-Platinum and the second single, “16 Carriages,” earning a Gold certification. Additionally, her previous album, Renaissance, has been certified 2x-Platinum.
