The Maroon 5 frontman’s contestant was named the winner of Season 29 on Tuesday, April 14.
Fans of The Voice have something to look forward to — Adam Levine is officially returning for another season.
On Tuesday, April 14, it was exclusively revealed by PEOPLE that the Maroon 5 lead singer will once again serve as a coach for the show’s milestone 30th season.
“I’m coming back,” said the “She Will Be Loved” performer, 47. “I’ve been having an amazing time. Ever since I returned a few seasons ago, it’s been such a great experience, and I’m excited to continue for as long as I’m welcome.”
The full lineup of coaches for the upcoming season, set to premiere this fall, has yet to be announced.
Season 30 will mark Levine’s 19th time as a coach on the show. He was part of the original panel when the series first launched and remained for 16 consecutive seasons before stepping away in May 2019.
He later made a highly anticipated comeback in season 27, skipped season 28, and returned again for season 29, which debuted on February 23.
Reflecting on his decision to return during season 27, Levine shared that everything finally fell into place.
“It was just one of those situations where it all came together and felt right,” he explained, noting that the timing hadn’t worked out before.
The “Sunday Morning” singer also admitted he needed time away from television after years of commitment.
“After doing it nonstop for nearly a decade, it can wear you out,” he said. “I needed space because I felt like I was drifting away from what matters most to me — creating and performing music.”
His latest return follows a big win for his team, as his contestant, Alexia Jayy, took home the title in season 29.
