The singer’s mother, Tish, and her sister, Brandi, were present at the event to show their support for the special occasion.

Miley Cyrus is savoring her latest milestone on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The singer and actress, 33, received her star on Friday, May 22, surrounded by close friends and family members. During the ceremony, she became visibly emotional while expressing gratitude for their constant encouragement and support.

“This is the part that really gets to me,” the “Flowers” performer admitted during her speech as she fought back tears.

Addressing her loved ones, she said, “To my family — my future family, my parents, my mom, my siblings, my friends, and my collaborators — thank you for standing by me through not only the decisions I’ve made, but also through my fears, and for facing those fears alongside me.”

With tears in her eyes, Cyrus added, “This is a moment I’ll never forget and will always treasure. I love you all so much. Thank you.” She then slipped on her sunglasses to hide her emotions.

Among those attending the ceremony were her mother Tish Cyrus, sister Brandi Cyrus, and fiancé Maxx Morando. Fashion icon Donatella Versace and actress Anya Taylor-Joy also appeared and delivered speeches in her honor. Her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was absent from the event.

Earlier in her remarks, Cyrus reflected on her song “Walk of Fame,” which closes with the lyric, “you’ll live forever.” She explained that the star symbolizes a form of immortality, but acknowledged that life’s temporary nature is what motivates and inspires her passion.

She also described the honor as the result of years of dedication rather than something that can simply be earned or pursued for fame. According to Cyrus, the recognition represents commitment, artistry, and persistence.

The “Slide Away” singer was first announced as a future Walk of Fame honoree in July of last year. Shortly afterward, she shared her excitement on Instagram, recalling childhood memories of visiting Hollywood Boulevard with her father after moving from Nashville to Los Angeles. She remembered exploring souvenir shops late at night and buying imitation Oscars and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia.

Reflecting on the achievement, Cyrus said being permanently honored alongside the legendary figures who inspired her feels surreal and deeply meaningful.
