Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up for Coachella in a big way.
The Grammy-winning pop star, 26, recently spoke with Marc Jacobs for a cover story in Perfect magazine, where she shared insight into how she’s preparing for her headlining performance at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Carpenter described the upcoming set as the most ambitious production she’s taken on so far. She explained that, unlike past shows where rehearsals ramp up quickly, this time she’s had the chance to carefully plan and shape the performance over several months. In fact, she noted that the process began about seven months ago, making it a longer and more intentional journey than usual—something she believes will make the show especially meaningful.
Reflecting on her first Coachella appearance in 2024, Carpenter recalled it as a milestone moment, particularly because it coincided with the release of her song “Espresso,” which she performed live for the first time that day. Returning two years later as a headliner feels surreal to her, especially as it gives her the opportunity to celebrate not only that track but also the many songs that followed and the impact they’ve had since their release.
This year’s festival will also feature headlining sets from Justin Bieber, Karol G, and Anyma.
Earlier in the week, Carpenter dropped the music video for her “House Tour” single, which features appearances from Madelyn Cline and Margaret Qualley, the latter also co-directing the video with Carpenter.
Her Coachella performance will mark her first major U.S. appearance since concluding her Short n’ Sweet Tour in November 2025, which spanned 72 shows.
