The rapper dropped her debut and only album, Invasion of Privacy, in 2018.

Cardi B is once again giving fans a taste of what’s to come with her new music.

During a live X Spaces chat on Monday, March 31, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper opened up about her highly anticipated second album. The 32-year-old specifically highlighted the guest appearances on the project.

“The features on my album are really strong,” she shared, clarifying that while there aren’t too many collaborations, the number depends on what fans consider “a lot.”

“I’m working with some artists I’ve collaborated with before and some I haven’t,” she revealed.

As for the new collaborations, the mother of three teased, “I think it’s really going to surprise you all.” She added, “And the vibe is just amazing. One thing I can say is—I’m 100 percent confident in this album. I don’t think there’s anything out there quite like it.”

Cardi wrapped up her X Spaces chat by hinting that she had given fans “some clues about my features.”

The I Like It rapper has been open about her long-awaited sophomore album, following 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, which earned the Best Rap Album award at the 2019 Grammys.

In March 2024, she revealed on her Instagram Stories that she had around 100 unreleased songs that could potentially make it onto her second album.

“I promise y’all, this year, I’m not letting anxiety, haters, or even fan opinions hold me back,” she said at the time, according to an X post summarizing her Stories update. “If I make a song, I’m just gonna drop it.”

She added, “Well, I don’t have a choice because my album is coming out this year.”

In July 2024, months after podcaster Joe Budden criticized Cardi for suggesting fans might never get another album from her, she clapped back on X Spaces.

“I don’t give a f— when people talk s— about me. It’s the fact that you always talk s— about me, Joe Budden,” she said at the time. “Out of nowhere, you’d think I did something to this n—-… For the past two years, this n—- has only had negative things to say about me, nonstop.”

Cardi also reaffirmed that her second album is well underway. “‘The album is never coming’—what are you even talking about? Everything is in motion. The merch is in motion. The box sets are in motion. You don’t know s— about what’s happening on this side.”
