The pop singer recently revealed that she’s expecting her first baby.
Carly Rae Jepsen marked her 40th birthday in a big way!
The singer — who is currently expecting her first child — posted a collection of photos on Instagram on Friday, Nov. 21 to celebrate the milestone.
“Forty and feeling fabulous! ❗️A major birthday,” she wrote. “If I’m doing life right, things are only going to get stranger from here. I’m ready to rock all the bold outfits, keep pushing myself creatively in music and art, and dive into this next phase headfirst (sometimes in a fuzzy hat).”
Jepsen, who tied the knot with music producer Cole M.G.N. in October, wrapped up her message with cheers to “new adventures, amazing friendships, traveling with a baby (send help!), and even more love.”
“Can’t wait for everything ahead. ♥️,” she added.
Her photo roundup included plenty of snapshots featuring her fluffy white hat — including a picture of her admiring her birthday cake while perched on a windowsill.
She also posted a childhood throwback of herself eating a caramel apple, sweet moments with her husband, flower bouquets, and a touching video of a birthday card Cole left for her on a hotel bed.
Jepsen’s birthday cake appeared to be layers of vanilla with whipped cream and raspberries on top, and she thanked New York City bakery Gigi’s Eats for the delicious treat.
The star announced her pregnancy on Nov. 3 with black-and-white photos of her and Cole, captioned, “Oh hi baby ♥️.”
On Nov. 19, she noted that she had reached the six-month mark of her pregnancy, joking in an Instagram post that she was “hiking at a pace much slower than usual.”
She previously told PEOPLE that she met Cole (full name Cole Marsden Greif-Neill) while working on her 2023 album The Loveliest Time. Their track “So Right,” she said, served as their “meet-cute.”
“When we travel, we’ll bring a little acoustic guitar with us,” she shared. “You’ll definitely see more projects from us together in the future, but ‘So Right’ is our first baby out in the world, and we’re both thrilled about it.”
October was packed for the pop star as well — she celebrated the 10th anniversary of her cult-favorite album Emotion by releasing an updated edition featuring four previously unheard songs and two new remixes.
