Demi Lovato reached a major milestone in her career by headlining Madison Square Garden in New York City for the very first time.
On April 24, the “Fast” singer brought her It’s Not That Deep Tour to the legendary venue, where a packed, sold-out audience stayed on its feet as she powered through a setlist filled with fan favorites and standout vocals.
Speaking with People magazine after the concert, Lovato described the moment as unforgettable, saying it meant everything to perform for longtime supporters who have stood by her over the years.
The show highlighted tracks from her latest album It’s Not That Deep, alongside well-known hits like “Heart Attack,” “Give Your Heart a Break,” and “Cool for the Summer.”
Fans were also treated to surprise guest appearances. JoJo joined Lovato onstage for a duet of “Too Little Too Late,” while her husband Jordan “Jutes” Lutes appeared for their first live performance together. The couple performed a cover of Iris—a meaningful choice, as John Rzeznik had performed it during their first dance at their May 2025 wedding.
Ahead of the big performance, Lovato shared that her routine includes physical and vocal warmups, along with getting ready in hair and makeup. She also mentioned using products from TheraBreath, highlighting the Sparkle Mint mouthwash as a favorite.
Reflecting on the night, Lovato expressed deep gratitude, emphasizing how much her fans mean to her career.
Just a day before the New York show, she released a deluxe edition of her album, It’s Not That Deep (Unless You Want It to Be), featuring additional tracks and collaborations with COBRAH and Rose Gray. She explained that after finishing the original album, she felt inspired to return to the studio and create more music, with “Pretty Catatonic” being one of the first songs written for the expanded version.
The tour has already delivered memorable moments, including a reunion with Joe Jonas and Selena Gomez during the opening show in Orlando—two artists who played important roles in her early career.
