The singer revealed she’s balancing motherhood, creating a new album, and preparing for another surgery while continuing her recovery from a mastectomy.

Jessie J has revealed that she’s preparing for another operation while navigating life as a mother and working on her next album, all while still recovering from breast cancer surgery.

In an Instagram post on Aug. 8, the 37-year-old “Price Tag” singer shared her packed schedule for the year, writing: “Another surgery needed this year. I can do it. ✔️Raising a toddler. I can do it. ✔️Releasing new music. I can do it. ✔️”

She accompanied the update with a golden-lit, close-up video in which she gazes directly at the camera before exhaling deeply. In her caption, Jessie explained, “I can rest, parent AND release new music. Leaving a major label after 18 years wasn’t so I could live in fear — it was to reshape the rules to fit my health and my life. I just need to be realistic about what I can give in each part of my life.”

The clip ends with “29th August” flashing on the screen, hinting at her new album’s release date.

Seven weeks after undergoing a mastectomy in June for early-stage breast cancer, Jessie says her body is still adjusting. “I’m still deep in recovery, but I LOVE music, I LOVE my life, and I want to live in the moment,” she wrote. Recently, she was hospitalized for suspected blood clot complications after experiencing chest pain.

Despite these challenges, the “Bang Bang” hitmaker remains optimistic, writing, “That’s life — things change. We can panic and be upset, or we can ADAPT.”

Jessie, who shares two-year-old son Sky Safir with her partner Chanan Safir Colman, added that she’s embracing the flow of life, learning both about motherhood and how to handle unexpected health setbacks.

“Life has layers, with highs and lows,” she concluded. “All we can do is keep living through it the best we can. So here I am — LIVING.”
