The track “Animal” is set to appear on KATSEYE’s upcoming EP, WILD.
The global girl group, made up of Sophia Laforteza, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung, unveiled the new track and its cinematic visual on Friday, July 24.
The playful pop song takes viewers through a series of unexpected transformations as the members alternate between traditionally feminine and masculine looks. The video eventually descends into a chaotic scene inside a wardrobe room, where the group scrambles to assemble their outfits under the watchful eye of actress Demi Moore, who delivers some blunt critiques.
Moore later encourages the group to “get wild,” prompting the members to transform their tailored suits into glittering performance looks. They then launch into the energetic choreography KATSEYE is known for.
The song explores the contrast between the carefully controlled image people show publicly and the more uninhibited side that can emerge in private. Its chorus captures that idea with lyrics about moving “like an animal.”
“Animal” counts Ed Sheeran among its co-writers. According to the song’s press materials, the track focuses on the push and pull between maintaining a polished public persona and letting loose when no one else is watching.
The single will appear on KATSEYE’s upcoming EP, WILD, which is scheduled to arrive on Aug. 14. The project follows the group’s 2025 EP, BEAUTIFUL CHAOS.
KATSEYE also has another major project on the way. The group’s upcoming film, KATSEYE: WILD HEARTS, is scheduled for release on Aug. 12 and will offer fans a closer look at the members and their lives.
Demi Moore is not the first major celebrity to make a cameo in one of KATSEYE’s music videos. Last June, Jessica Alba appeared in the visual for “Gabriela,” portraying a company CEO whose potential successor becomes the focus of a fierce competition involving the group.
Reflecting on that experience, Laforteza previously joked about the difference between performing alongside Alba and watching a seasoned actress at work. The 23-year-old recalled that KATSEYE initially felt confident about its acting abilities, only to be impressed by Alba’s professional performance once she joined the shoot.
