Kevin Jonas shares that he loves his wife, Danielle Jonas, even more each day, as the singer opens up about embracing his romantic side in his second solo track.
Kevin Jonas is celebrating the best moments of his 16-year marriage through his newest song, “Little Things.” Released on Friday, the track pays tribute to the qualities he cherishes most about his wife, Danielle Jonas.
Calling the song a reflection of their relationship, Jonas shared that it represents an important chapter in their lives as they approach several major milestones, including milestone birthdays and their 20th wedding anniversary in 2029.
The 38-year-old singer surprised fans last year with his first solo release, “Changing.” Encouraged by the positive response, he decided to continue making music independently. Jonas explained that after spending two decades developing his musical identity, he finally found a sound and direction that felt authentic to him.
Jonas and Danielle first crossed paths in 2007 while vacationing separately with their families in the Bahamas. According to the singer, his wife influences nearly all of his songwriting. He shared that personal experiences naturally shape the stories he tells through music, and Danielle remains a constant source of inspiration whenever he writes.
To make “Little Things” deeply personal, Jonas incorporated details unique to their relationship, including references to Danielle’s preference for yellow gold jewelry. He revealed that even her wedding band was changed at one point to match her taste.
The couple, who renewed their wedding bands with gold versions for their 10th anniversary, are also refreshing the matching tattoos of each other’s names. Jonas admitted the process of removing and redoing the tattoo on his finger has been painful, jokingly giving credit to Pete Davidson for enduring similar tattoo removals.
Although he felt nervous sharing the romantic song with Danielle, her reaction mattered most to him. Jonas explained that he always values her opinion because of her strong instinct for pop music. After finally revealing that the track was inspired by her, he said she was thrilled.
The couple share two daughters, Alena and Valentina, who also enjoyed the song despite some of its more mature lyrics flying over their heads. Jonas said his daughters especially liked the song’s energetic beat compared to his previous release.
For the singer, one of the most rewarding aspects of releasing solo music has been sharing it with his children and longtime fans. He described feeling proud hearing audiences sing along louder than him during performances.
Jonas also expressed appreciation for the encouragement he has received from his brothers, Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, while pursuing his solo work. He recalled joking with them about performing his own songs during the band’s shows, with his brothers fully supporting the idea.
During breaks in the concert when his brothers perform, Jonas enjoys using the time backstage to relax and connect with his family, often FaceTiming Danielle and saying goodnight to his daughters before bedtime.
