Lady Gaga is marking a major milestone as she turns 40, celebrating the occasion with her fiancé, Michael Polansky.

On Sunday, March 29, the “Poker Face” hitmaker posted a TikTok clip showing herself holding a gold “40” banner to commemorate her birthday, with Shy Girl by Haute & Freddy playing in the background.

In the caption, Gaga—born Stefani Germanotta—shared that her celebration was soundtracked by “beautiful new albums” from Haute & Freddy, Robyn, and Raye. She added that she spent the day relaxing and enjoying the music with Polansky as they began winding down her Mayhem Ball Tour.

Her birthday fell during the final leg of the tour, which is set to wrap up on April 13 at Madison Square Garden in New York City after nearly a year on the road.

Gaga also expressed gratitude to her fiancé, thanking him for making the day especially meaningful and sharing her excitement as her birthday month begins. She didn’t forget her fans either, affectionately known as “monsters,” acknowledging their heartfelt messages and reflecting on growing up alongside them.

Along with enjoying a wave of new music releases that dropped just before her birthday, Gaga appreciated the quiet, personal moments she spent with Polansky. The couple, she revealed, is planning to get married soon.

Earlier in the month, during an appearance on Bruno Mars’ iHeartRadio livestream “Romantic Radio,” Gaga shared a voice message mentioning their upcoming wedding and asking him to help pick a meaningful song. Mars responded warmly, recognizing her voice and dedicating his track “Risk It All” to the couple.

Music continues to play a deeply personal role in Gaga’s life. In a conversation with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, she revealed that her song “Blade of Grass” from the Mayhem album was inspired by her engagement. She recalled a simple yet intimate moment in their backyard when Polansky asked how she envisioned a proposal, to which she replied that he could simply wrap a blade of grass around her finger.
