The pop icon is gearing up to drop her latest single on Friday, Oct. 25.

Lady Gaga is on the move in her latest track, “Disease.”

On Oct. 22, the 38-year-old pop sensation posted a teaser for “Disease,” the lead single from her upcoming album, LG7, on Instagram.

Captioned “DISEASE 10.25,” the clip shows Gaga, with black hair, running through a suburban neighborhood in a white dress as a car chases her down.

The teaser places the audience inside the car, giving the perspective of pursuing the “Applause” singer.

The clip includes a brief preview of the song, featuring some haunting piano notes accompanied by percussion.

“Disease” is poised to be the lead single from Gaga’s eagerly awaited seventh studio album.

Just last month, the 13-time Grammy winner released Harlequin, a companion album to Joker: Folie à Deux, which she referred to as “LG 6.5.” The record primarily consists of cover songs, with the exception of two original tracks, “Happy Mistake” and “Folie à Deux.” Gaga collaborated on the album with her fiancé Michael Polansky, who served as co-executive producer alongside her. The pair also co-wrote four tracks: “Good Morning,” “Get Happy,” “Oh, When the Saints,” and “If My Friends Could See Me Now.”

Harlequin debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard 200, marking Gaga’s third album to reach the top of the Billboard jazz charts.

On Oct. 21, Gaga announced the upcoming release of “Disease” in an Instagram post, revealing that it would drop on Oct. 25. The post featured a poster of her in the same white dress from the teaser, but this time leaning over a car’s hood as if she had been struck by it.

Last month, the “Rain on Me” singer shared an update with BuzzFeed Canada, confirming that her new album is scheduled for an early 2025 release, with a new single arriving in October.

Gaga also revealed to Vogue that the idea for the upcoming album came from her fiancé, Michael Polansky. “Michael is the one who encouraged me to make another pop record,” she told the magazine. “He said, ‘Babe, I love you. You need to make pop music.’”

Polansky echoed her sentiments in the same feature, saying, “Like anyone would for the person they love, I pushed her to embrace the joy of it. I saw a spark in her during the Chromatica tour, and I wanted to help keep that fire alive by encouraging her to create music that brought her happiness.”
