Lana Del Rey appeared to suggest that her connection with Sean “Sticks” Larkin was not completely resolved when he got married to his present spouse.

Following her shortened performance at Glastonbury due to her delayed arrival, Lana Del Rey made a comeback at a London concert with an apology to her fans. Along with the apology, she made a subtle alteration to the lyrics, seemingly aimed at her former boyfriend.

During her headline show at BST Hyde Park, the 38-year-old “Summertime Sadness” singer acknowledged the incident at Glastonbury, where her microphone was silenced to comply with a strict curfew. According to NME, after performing “Candy Necklace,” she remarked, “I think this is where I got cut off last time. Sorry about that.”

Del Rey also reportedly engaged in playful banter with the crew positioned at the side of the stage, humorously cautioning them, “Don’t do it.”

Later in the evening, before performing her final song, “Video Games” (which fans helped her with by singing a cappella after her mic was cut off at the festival), she made another reference to Glastonbury.

During her performance, Lana Del Rey also hinted at personal life drama while singing her song “Chemtrails Over the Country Club.” The track, released in 2021, features the line, “You’re born in December and I’m born in June,” which fans have speculated refers to her ex-boyfriend Sean “Sticks” Larkin, born on December 7.

However, on Sunday, the Grammy winner introduced new lyrics that suggest Larkin moved on and got married before their official separation. She sang, “He’s born in December and he got married when we were still together. But sometimes I wonder what his wife would think if she knew that I was unaware of everything. He’s born in December and he got married while we were in couples therapy together.”

Del Rey and Larkin, a former Tulsa police officer known for his appearance on the reality series Live PD, started their relationship in the autumn of 2019. They made their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet in January 2020 at a pre-Grammys gala.

However, by March of the same year, they had already ended their romantic involvement. In an interview with The New York Times during that month, Larkin described their status as being “just friends.” He mentioned that they still maintained communication, but attributed their separation to their busy schedules at the time.

Larkin retired from his police career in 2021 and tied the knot with Carey Cadiuex Larkin in January 2022. Currently, he co-hosts the show On Patrol: Live on Reelz and also runs the podcast Coptales and Cocktails.

As of now, there has been no immediate response from Larkin or a spokesperson from Reelz regarding PEOPLE’s request for comment.

In a 2021 Instagram Live session with her fans, Del Rey candidly discussed their breakup. She expressed how devastating it felt at the time, stating, “I remember when Sean and I broke up, and I just thought it was the end of the world.” She shared her heartbreak over the perception that Larkin represented everything she lacked, such as being sunny and on the right side of the law. Del Rey emphasized that relationships can profoundly impact individuals, even if they move on to new ones, as the experience doesn’t necessarily improve with time.
