Lana Del Rey, who had earlier unveiled plans for an album called Stove, has now revealed that she has also completed another project titled Spyda.
Lana Del Rey is embracing a romantic chapter in her life while preparing to release more music than fans initially anticipated.
On Wednesday, July 16, the 41-year-old singer-songwriter behind “Say Yes to Heaven” shared an Instagram post featuring highlights from her recent life, including affectionate moments with her husband, Jeremy Dufrene. Alongside the personal clips, she surprised fans by announcing that not one but two albums — Stove and Spyda — are on the way.
Reflecting on the past four years, Del Rey wrote that she had experienced both uncertainty and personal growth, spending much of that time waiting for everything to fall into place while questioning whether setbacks were part of the journey. Her post, accompanied by videos of quiet moments at home, Fourth of July celebrations, and scenes with Dufrene, emphasized how patience ultimately led to new opportunities. The couple married in Des Allemands, Louisiana, on Sept. 26, 2024, after obtaining their marriage license a few days earlier.
The Grammy-nominated artist, who had already revealed Stove as her next album, described the record as the project she originally envisioned. She called it a timeless collection, noting that fans have already heard several tracks during her live performances, though much of the album remains unreleased. She also expressed appreciation for everyone who contributed to bringing the project together.
Since releasing Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd in 2023, Del Rey has shared new songs including “Tough,” “Henry, Come On,” “Bluebird,” and “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.” Throughout 2025, she also introduced audiences to unreleased material such as “57.5,” “Quiet in the South,” and “Stars Fell on Alabama” during concerts.
Del Rey went on to reveal that another album gradually emerged alongside Stove. She described Spyda as a companion project inspired by the changes she experienced, the patience she was forced to develop, and the faith she maintained despite periods of self-doubt. According to the singer, the album serves as a reflection on everything she has been through during that time.
She thanked her collaborators for helping bring both records to completion, adding that she only needs about a month to finish the final touches before sending the albums off for vinyl production. She ended her message by expressing gratitude to fans for their patience.
To accompany the announcement, Del Rey unveiled the cover art for both Stove and Spyda. She described them as two of her favorite creative works, explaining that while they began as projects rooted in growth and happiness, they ultimately evolved into collections shaped by uncertainty, optimism, and the realization that true new beginnings often require starting over completely.
