Lorde is hitting the road!

On May 8, the New Zealand alt-pop singer revealed plans for the Ultrasound World Tour, which will travel across major arenas worldwide later this year to promote her forthcoming album, Virgin.

The North American leg launches on September 17 at the Moody Center in Austin, with stops in major cities like Chicago, Nashville, Boston, Philadelphia, New York, St. Louis, and Las Vegas. The run concludes on October 22 in Seattle before Lorde takes the stage across Europe from November through December.

Lorde will be joined by a lineup of special guests on select dates of the tour, including Blood Orange, The Japanese House, Nilüfer Yanya, Chanel Beads, Empress Of, Jim-E Stack, and Oklou. “I’m incredibly proud and excited to have some of my most talented friends supporting me,” she shared in a statement on her website.

“Come see what’s under the skin,” the artist teased, referencing the x-ray-inspired visuals used for both the Virgin album cover and the tour poster.

Fans can access tickets early via a presale on Lorde’s official website starting May 14 at 10 a.m. local time, with general ticket sales opening on May 16 at the same time.

Just a week after dropping her latest single, “What Was That,” on April 24, Grammy-winning artist Lorde officially announced her new album, Virgin. Alongside unveiling the album cover, she sent a heartfelt message to fans via email, offering insight into the project.

“THE COLOUR OF THE ALBUM IS CLEAR. LIKE BATHWATER, WINDOWS, ICE, SPIT. FULL TRANSPARENCY,” she wrote. “THE LANGUAGE IS PLAIN AND UNSENTIMENTAL. THE SOUNDS ARE THE SAME WHEREVER POSSIBLE.”

She went on to describe the deeply personal nature of the record: “I WAS TRYING TO SEE MYSELF, ALL THE WAY THROUGH. I WAS TRYING TO MAKE A DOCUMENT THAT REFLECTED MY FEMININITY: RAW, PRIMAL, INNOCENT, ELEGANT, OPENHEARTED, SPIRITUAL, MASC.”

Expressing both vulnerability and conviction, the Melodrama singer concluded, “I’M PROUD AND SCARED OF THIS ALBUM. THERE’S NOWHERE TO HIDE. I BELIEVE THAT PUTTING THE DEEPEST PARTS OF OURSELVES TO MUSIC IS WHAT SETS US FREE.”
