In a conversation with ‘Attitude,’ the pop star also disclosed that her sixth studio album is set for release in 2025.

MARINA is thrilled to have Billie Eilish as a fan.
In an interview with ‘Attitude’ released on Monday, July 15, the 38-year-old pop star responded to the news that the “Happier Than Ever” singer is a fan of hers.
“It’s flattering, especially when the artist is amazing – I’m a fan of Billie,” said the “Primadonna” singer. “It feels like a wonderful cycle in music, when someone like Kylie [Minogue] has inspired me, and my music, in turn, inspires a new generation of artists.”
MARINA also expressed her admiration for Chappell Roan after being compared to her by the publication.
“I love her,” she said. “I can totally see why people make the comparison. She’s very unique and truly herself. When I first heard her album, I realized how much I’ve missed records that have a strong identity and cohesion. Bring back the fun!”
During the interview, MARINA also hinted that new music is on the horizon.
“I am working on a new record, and I am loving it,” the “How to Be a Heartbreaker” singer revealed. “It will definitely be out next year.”
MARINA, who is set to release her debut poetry book, ‘Eat the World,’ on October 29, also discussed whether the book has influenced her music.
“Not really. It stands alone,” she said. “I can’t focus on more than one project at a time. It’s very difficult for me. I like to fully commit to one thing before moving on to the next. I’ll be doing some fun promotions around it, like podcasts. There’s lots to talk about.”
In April, MARINA revealed her upcoming book, Eat the World, on Instagram.
“Very excited for you all to hold this in your hands,” she wrote, sharing a photo of the book cover. “Writing this book over the course of a year was a magical, playfully dark process that freed me in ways I couldn’t have anticipated.”
She added, “I am of course slightly terrified at putting the contents of my brain and life out there. But I’m equally excited for it to be out in the world. This book is precious to me.”
