During the battle round, Marijic and Iris Herrera delivered a performance of “Ceilings” by Lizzie McAlpine.

Michael Bublé had a surprise move ready.

During The Voice episode on Monday, March 24, the Canadian singer swooped in to steal Simone Marijic from Team Kelsea after she wasn’t selected in the battle round.

Marijic competed against Iris Herrera in the round, where the pair performed Lizzy McAlpine’s “Ceilings.”

When it was time for Kelsea Ballerini, 31, to make her decision, she chose Herrera.

“I picked Iris because she truly understands her voice and knows how to use it to highlight her uniqueness,” explained the “Peter Pan” artist.

Host Carson Daly then invited the other coaches to consider stealing Marijic, giving her a second chance.

Before leaving Team Kelsea, Marijic shared heartfelt words with Ballerini.

“Every piece of advice you’ve given me will stay with me because I don’t feel like I’ve shown everything I’m capable of yet,” she told Ballerini, who responded by rushing to the stage to give her a warm hug.

As Marijic was making her way off the stage, Bublé, 49, surprised everyone by hitting his steal button, leaving Marijic stunned.

“Simone absolutely deserved that steal, and I’m really glad it was Michael who took her,” Ballerini shared in an interview. “I feel like she has this really cool, classic quality to her voice that Michael can help refine.”

Coaches John Legend and Adam Levine playfully teased the “Home” singer for his perfectly timed move, while host Carson Daly chimed in, “You waited so long.”

“This is my second season, and what I’ve learned is that I know what I want — and I know how to get good ratings,” Bublé quipped.

In a post-show interview, Bublé admitted he’d been hoping for a chance to steal Marijic.

“She’s young, clearly has a strong work ethic, and honestly, I believe I have a dark horse on my team who could win The Voice,” the Feeling Good singer shared.
