Rihanna, now adorned with lengthy and stunning blonde hair, was seen in public with A$AP Rocky for the first time amidst the rapper’s legal issues.
Photographs captured them separately stepping out in Los Angeles on Thursday night, just a day after the “Praise the Lord” rapper’s court appearance for assault charges, as reported by the Daily Mail.
In the images, the 35-year-old Fenty Beauty founder maintained a composed demeanor during her night out, clad in a gray hoodie, stylishly patterned gray jeans, and a lengthy camel coat. She engaged in conversation with friends at a private members-only club at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood, without her companion.
Meanwhile, the rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was spotted solo in a gray button-up shirt, complemented by matching gray jeans and a denim jacket as he strolled down the street.
Rocky faces two charges of assault with a firearm in connection with a November 6, 2021 incident. It is alleged that during a “heated discussion” in Hollywood, California, he pointed a semi-automatic handgun at his former friend and plaintiff, A$AP Relli (Terell Ephron), and discharged multiple rounds.
In the recent court hearing for his criminal trial, the prosecution presented a surveillance video without sound depicting the purported incident. The footage indicated Rocky approaching Relli, pushing him, and then capturing a confrontation between the group of men at the corner of Selma Avenue and Vista Del Mar Avenue in Hollywood. The sequence concluded with one individual from the group fleeing, while the other two men escaped on foot after the alleged firearm discharge.
Following the incident, Relli took legal action by filing a civil suit on August 10, 2022, against the rapper known for “A$AP Forever.” The suit alleges assault, battery, and emotional distress, seeking over $25,000 in general damages, compensation for medical expenses, and unspecified punitive damages in civil court.
Rocky was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport on April 20, 2022, and was released on bail the same day, according to the Los Angeles Times. This occurred as he returned on a private plane from Barbados, where he was vacationing with Rihanna a few weeks after the birth of their first child.
Despite the legal proceedings, Rocky, father to sons RZA (18 months) and Riot Rose (3 months), entered a plea of not guilty to the two assault-with-a-firearm charges in August 2022 and has consistently refuted all allegations. His next court appearance is scheduled for November 20.
