“You look so cute!” Carpenter gushed to Parton in a TikTok video the country legend shared, capturing moments from their collaboration on a country rendition of Carpenter’s 2024 hit.
Sabrina Carpenter is having a full-on fangirl moment over Dolly Parton!
On Tuesday, Feb. 18, the 79-year-old country icon shared an adorable TikTok video featuring behind-the-scenes moments from the set of their music video for a duet version of Carpenter’s song Please Please Please.
“Two blondes are one thing, a collab with @Sabrina Carpenter is another 💋,” Parton captioned the clip. “Behind the scenes of ‘Please Please Please,’ out now…”
In the video, Parton is seen putting on a pair of pink, embellished cat-eye sunglasses just as Carpenter joins her on set. The Espresso singer immediately reacts to the legend’s look, exclaiming, “You look so cute!”
The clip also shows Carpenter greeting Parton as she climbs into a blue truck and takes a seat next to her. Parton asks, “Hi, how are you doing?” to which Carpenter excitedly replies, “How are you? You look amazing!”
The two singers were later seen chatting and laughing together, both inside the truck and while sitting side by side on the back of the vehicle during the shoot.
“We’re in a truck,” Parton told the camera from the passenger seat.
“We’re in a pickup truck,” Carpenter added. “Big hair. It’s all just … the stars are aligning.”
In another clip, Carpenter stood outside the truck, admiring Parton’s outfit as the country legend sat inside. “It’s the glasses. They just automatically make it like, you mean business,” she told Parton.
Later in the video, as she sat behind the wheel, the Jolene singer admitted, “I never was a great driver. I never even like to drive.”
Additional clips in the behind-the-scenes montage featured Parton and Carpenter filming more scenes in the pickup truck against a bright, sunny backdrop, as well as sharing a warm hug on set.
On February 14, Sabrina Carpenter released the music video for her country version of Please Please Please, featuring Dolly Parton. This rendition, included in the deluxe edition of her album Short n’ Sweet, debuted on Valentine’s Day.
Sharing a preview on Instagram, the Taste singer expressed her excitement, writing, “Dolly and me singing in a pickup truck!!!!!! It’s such an honor to have one of my greatest idols on a song that means so much to me. Short n’ Sweet deluxe is out now! Go watch and listen!!!! Love you forever @dollyparton 🤍🦋.”
