The Soundtrack for Nobody Wants This Season 2 Is Out Now

Selena Gomez Returns with a New Pop Hit
Selena Gomez has made her comeback with another captivating pop release.
On Thursday, Oct. 23, the singer and actress dropped the music video for her latest song, “In the Dark,” which appears on Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack.
Directed by Luke Orlando, the video features the 33-year-old star performing in wide, open spaces while dressed entirely in black, delivering heartfelt lyrics about unwavering love.
“And I’ll be there when you lose yourself / To remind you of who you are / And I’ll be there like nobody else / You’re still beautiful in the dark,” she sings.
After the video premiered, Gomez shared a short clip on Instagram with the caption:
“‘In The Dark’ is out now. This is just a little nostalgia droplet and I hope you love it. 🖤”
She also posted several stills from the video on her Instagram Stories, noting that she wanted to “add a little Revival to it,” a nod to her 2015 album of the same name.
The new single follows the release of I Said I Loved You First, Gomez’s joint album with her husband, Benny Blanco. According to a press statement before its March debut, the project offered fans “an intimate look into their relationship.”
“The album came together naturally, born from the creative ease and comfort they share, resulting in music that truthfully mirrors their journey,” the statement explained.
“It tells their story—from their beginnings to falling in love and imagining what’s ahead.”
Meanwhile, Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack includes 19 tracks from a range of artists, such as Chris Stapleton, Role Model, and Kacey Musgraves.
The album dropped alongside the show’s new season premiere, which continues to explore the offbeat romance between Joanne, a podcaster played by Kristen Bell, and Noah, a rabbi portrayed by Adam Brody.
