Selena Gomez showed her support for longtime friend Taylor Swift and Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, as the couple prepared for their upcoming wedding.
The 33-year-old singer attended the pair’s rehearsal dinner at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday, July 2.
Before the celebration, Gomez gave fans a glimpse of her polished evening look by posting an Instagram Stories video of herself applying a Rare Beauty lipstick. She completed the outfit with Fernando Jorge’s diamond Flicker Short Earrings and a matching Flicker Ring.
Earlier that day, Gomez also shared a heartfelt photo on Instagram Stories featuring her husband, Benny Blanco. The image captured the couple smiling warmly at each other while relaxing on a couch. She captioned the post, “i wish benny was here rn 💕.”
Gomez and Swift’s friendship dates back to 2008, when they were each involved with members of the Jonas Brothers—Swift was dating Joe Jonas, while Gomez was romantically linked to Nick Jonas. Although those relationships eventually ended, the two artists developed a lasting friendship and have continued supporting one another throughout their careers, from celebrating at award shows to making appearances together on stage.
On Thursday evening, numerous celebrity guests were seen arriving at Madison Square Garden for what is widely believed to have been Swift and Kelce’s rehearsal dinner. Among those in attendance were Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Abigail Anderson, Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson, Greg Olsen, and Aric Jones.
Earlier in the day, a representative for Swift confirmed that the couple had donated a combined $26 million during the week to a range of charitable organizations. The beneficiaries included City Harvest, Food Bank for New York City, New York Cares, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Harvesters in Kansas City, Brad Paisley and Kimberly Paisley’s The Store in Nashville, Helping Harvest in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, Feeding America, the ASPCA, Grammy in the Schools, and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
