The duo behind “I Said I Love You First… And You Said It Back” went public with their romance in December 2023 and became engaged a year later.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco Are Officially Married
After two years together, the 33-year-old singer-actress and the 37-year-old producer exchanged vows in California on Saturday, Sept. 27.
Gomez shared the joyful update on Instagram with a collection of wedding photos and clips, paired with the simple caption: “🤍 9.27.25 🤍.” The images capture tender moments between the couple—holding hands, embracing, and enjoying their big day. One close-up shows Gomez’s elegant white bouquet, while another highlights their matching wedding rings.
In a particularly heartfelt shot, Gomez is seated on the ground as Blanco rests his head on her lap. Another clip shows her adjusting his bowtie before giving him a kiss.
For the ceremony, both opted for Ralph Lauren ensembles. Gomez wore a halter-style gown adorned with floral accents and an open-back design, while Blanco looked classic in a black tuxedo and bowtie.
Pre-Wedding Festivities and Celebrity Guests
Before saying “I do,” Gomez marked the occasion with a bachelorette celebration in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, while Blanco headed to Las Vegas for his bachelor party. On Aug. 23, the Good For You singer was seen with friends enjoying a luxury yacht, dancing, laughing, and soaking up the sunshine.
Meanwhile, Blanco documented moments from his Vegas trip, including a spa visit and a caviar dinner. Sources also confirmed he spent time at a nightclub during the celebration.
A few days later, Gomez offered fans a behind-the-scenes look at her bridal getaway, sharing photos of her outfits—including a veil embroidered with “bride to be.” Another shot featured her smiling in front of a balloon arrangement that spelled “Mrs. Levin,” a nod to Blanco’s given name, Benjamin Joseph Levin.
Celebrity Buzz Around the Wedding
Plenty of A-list friends expressed their excitement about being part of the festivities. After the couple revealed their engagement on Dec. 11, 2024, Gomez’s longtime best friend Taylor Swift joked in the comments that she would serve as the flower girl. A few months later, Ed Sheeran admitted during Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test that he had already secured an invitation.
Earlier in September, Gomez told The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that her Only Murders in the Building co-star Martin Short would serve as ring bearer. Short and Steve Martin later teased they had the “perfect wedding gift” lined up.
Her former Wizards of Waverly Place castmate, David Henrie, also confirmed he’d attend. Speaking to Parade in August, he said he would “100%” be there, and later told PEOPLE that he and his wife, Maria Cahill, often talked wedding planning with the couple. Around the same time, Nicky Hilton revealed that her sister Paris Hilton was also invited.
Wedding Planning and Personal Touches
The couple, who dropped their joint album I Said I Love You First… And You Said It Back in March, had spoken openly about wanting a laid-back wedding. During a March 21 appearance on the Today show, they revealed their one must-have item: pickles.
On the April 30 episode of the Table Manners with Jessie and Lennie Ware podcast, Blanco added that apart from pickles, he only had one other request—fresh challah baked by Jewish chef and writer Jake Cohen. “That’s all I care about,” Blanco said. “He makes the best challah I’ve ever had.”
A Look Back at Their Relationship
Gomez and Blanco first collaborated in 2019 on the single I Can’t Get Enough, but it wasn’t until June 2023 that they began dating. By December that year, Gomez made their relationship public in an Instagram comment, writing, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.” She added that she was the “happiest” she’d ever been with Blanco, later sharing a cozy selfie of the two on her Story.
