Suki Waterhouse Shares Robert Pattinson’s Reaction to Inspiring Her Song ‘Weirdo’

Suki Waterhouse has opened up about how her fiancé, Robert Pattinson, responded to becoming the inspiration behind her song “Weirdo.”
During an Aug. 12 appearance on the Nicky at Night podcast, the 34-year-old actress and singer discussed the track, which appears on her album Loveland. Waterhouse, who welcomed a daughter with Pattinson in March 2024, said the actor’s quirky personality played a role in inspiring the song.
Waterhouse explained that Pattinson, 40, embraces the song and enjoys knowing that it was influenced by him. She recalled playing the track for him before its official release and said he later listened closely to the lyrics after the song came out. According to Waterhouse, his response was enthusiastic, telling her that he loved it.
The Daisy Jones & The Six star also revealed that Pattinson suggested she should have named the entire album Weirdo, joking that the title would have suited the record.
Waterhouse admitted she was surprised by how warmly fans have received the song. Although she initially wasn’t sure whether “Weirdo” would work as a single, the track gradually became one of the songs listeners seemed to connect with most.
The positive response has also encouraged Waterhouse to approach her next project with greater openness. She said the reception has made her eager to return to the studio and explore more personal and straightforward songwriting in the future.
